The High Court has ruled that Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Private) Ltd (Zimplats) is not liable for more than US$7 million in royalty “shortfalls” claimed by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), after finding that the law did not provide royalty rates for matte and concentrate during the disputed period.
