International Day for Biological Diversity

[The Herald] May 22 marked 25 years of the entry into force of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The convention has a near universal membership of 195 countries. It entered into force on December 29, 1993. Zimbabwe ratified the convention on 11 November 1994 and became a party to the convention on February 9, 1995.
